Yesterday, I went out at around 3.40pm to run some errant. My nurse thought that I went to the bank.
At 4pm, a dispatch boy from the lab came to collect some blood samples. He told my nurse that there was a robbery at the Public Bank nearby. This got my nurse worried.
I came back later. My nurse asked: Where had you been? Which bank did you go to?
I was like, huh? I didn’t go into any bank at all.
Then only I noticed that there was about 5 police cars parked not far from my shop. There were also a whole bunch of uniform and plainclothes policemen. More interesting was the ‘crime-scene-tape’ winding all around the Public Bank.
Fuh. Narrow escape.
News about the robbery
I have received a Platinum Card from Citibank.
Apparently they decided to upgrade me from my current Gold card.
Good news? Not really. It only created some confusion for me.
1) I have first-two-year waiver on my anual fee. Does that extend to my platinum card, should I decide to change?
2) What will happen to my existing redemption points? Auto transfer?
3) Will the supplementary card be upgraded free too?
Guess it raised more questions than any benefit that it seemed to bring. A call to their service centre only provide the “sorry, our officers are currently engage”. Duh.
You all still remember Eve? The pretty lady were pregnant for the last 9 months?
She sent me an SMS, notifying me that she had develired. Smooth delivery. Cayden is healthy and safe.
She will be discharged from hospital tomorrow, if all goes well.
As her style … sekian.
Everyone should have known by now that the earthquake in Taiwan had caused disruption to our Internet International link.
It was horrible yesterday. I couldn’t read any blog by written by you all. I could not check for any information as Google was not within reach. I was also blocked out of MSN.
I guess everyone within this region faced the same fate. So what had you done yesterday during all the free time? Or plan to do today, as the ‘snail pace’ will last quite a few days more?
Me and my wife brought our kids to Cosmo World Theme Park in Berjaya Times Square.
My kids initially were terrified by the sound of the roller coasters. My son even started pulling me away from the entrance.
Then we proceed to level 7, the Kids’ section.
Now they are overjoyed. We proceed to the ticketing counters. Then only we realised how crowded the place was. To make matter worst, only two out the six counters were opened. Haiyo. I guess we can’t complain, as yesterday was a public holiday.
All their fear seemd to evaporate once they stepped into the theme park. We manage to get onto the Crazy Bus, Botanic Drive, Merry-Go-Round and the Express Train. My son also insist that we have to stay awhile in the Kids’ Playground.
Obviously they didn’t want to leave. They keep wanting to play more. Poor daddy and mummy. We are starving. Finally at 2pm, we manage to pull them away for lunch, promising to bring them back soon (next public holiday).
I went to Midvalley Megamall last night.
Realllly crowded, as expected. Spent a long time looking for a parking space. (Well, some of you might say … you ask for it)
Anyway, I went to Carrefour to get some groceries, after spending some time in Jusco (toys section).
There was this crowd near the children playground. Out of curiosity, my wife went to have a look.
Wow. Apparently Carrefour was having their stock clearance for all the Christmas decoration items.
A 150cm Christmas tree was selling at RM5!
Christmas garlands was only at RM1 each, while the Christmas Decoration Ball (is that the proper name?) was at Rm0.45 each. Beat that!
The crowd was literally cleaning up those stock. We can see those people literally carting those boxes away. Some even start picking the display sets apart. They have no qualm about climbing up to tear those garlands from the displayed Christmas Tree.
I guess everyone is ready with their Christmas Decoration?
I had just finish watching DOA movie.
Obviously, the movie is loosely based on the famous DOA game in 2004.
So how is the movie?
As expected, it has a really simplistic storyline. The few voluptuous female martial artists had been invited to an island for an ‘all out fighting contest’.
The obvious selling point of the movie? Skimpily dressed female doing unbelievable martial stunts.
Watchable? I guess so. If you just want some laugh looking at those fighters performing unbelievable moves. With a set of beach volleyball thrown in, as bonus.
I am looking for a wrist watch for 5-year-old son.
What do I want?
Obviously it has to display the time (not much use if it doesn’t, right?)
It also should have two speed-dial buttons, which will turn the watch into a ‘wrist phone’. It is programmed to speed dial to us parents, thus he won’t need to memorize our phone number. (not as if he can remember it correctly, in emergency)
On the bonus, he would not be able to call anyone else on the watch.
Any of you know of the existence of such wrist watch?
It is real sad that when we are preparing to have a holiday and celebration for Christmas, there are so many Malaysians being evacuated from their houses.
I know that Singapore is also affected by this flood.
Hope that all my friends in Johor and Singapore are safe and well. Kindly leave a comment if you happen to read this blog
(Princess Felicia, ahhong, Hanneng …)
Wish everyone a “dry” Christmas.
My Epson Stylus printer finally decided to die on me, on a Sunday! Duh.
I have to rush to the Digital Mall to get a new printer.
The dialogue between me and the salesperson:
“Is this your HP laserjet?”
“I will take it. Now.”
The salesperson was stunned by me. He was looking at me speechlessly. I guess few person buy a printer with such short explanation / bargaining.
I mean, do we always has to ask a ton of questions when all we need is a printer?
