Went to Melaka during the Christmas holidays.
It was really really crowded. Everywhere we went, it was like pasar malam. Fuh.
Anyway, the first stop was at St Paul’s Church.
The kids naturally would ask: Why were we even here?
Then we came to the one of the most recognisable structure in Melaka: Christ Church.
As it was so crowded, we decided to have our lunch early. Did not want to face the risk of lining up outside the restaurant. We were proven wrong immediately! There were already a long queue outside the famous ‘chicken rice ball’ shop.
We decided to give it a miss. We went to a shop nearby with some elaborate “touch up”.
Fuh. When we entered the real dining place, we were totally floored by the awesome decoration. How much money did this guy spend?
There was even a ‘throne seat’ fit for emperor.
If you decided to walk upstairs, they have decorated it as ‘hou yuan’ (the garden at the back, literally)
I almost thought I was standing in one of the filming sets in TVB. haha.
The review about its food: Here
What I liked most about The Curve this time around, is their Outdoor decorations.
Pretty unique. Can’t find it in any other shopping complexes, as all others are having the decorations indoor.
This will be the main entrance.
A big fantastic structure inside.
Beside the structure, there are multiple stalls selling various tit bits.
We noticed there were two girls in an interesting outfits. They actually have light bulbs within their clothes!
As I got the SMS from Maxis stating “You are entitled for 2 months of free broadband service”, I decided to give it a try.
Drove over to the Maxis Centre in TTDI and was surprised to see that the place was crowded! People were really coming in to sign up for the plan. Some elderly people who were apparently first time broadband users turned up too! Guess Maxis had struck gold this time.
When I was signing up, I asked: What if I decided to terminate the service after 2 months? What should I do? Just return the modem?
The answer surprised me: No. You get to keep the modem.
I was stunned. So not only we get to enjoy 2 months of broadband, we get a free modem?
It is the time to look at the Christmas decoration at the different mall, again.
As expected, Sunway Pyramid put up a huge stage.
Sorry. The stage is simply too huge (and tall) for my camera to do any justification to its grandeur. You have to be there to feel it.
At the other end of the ‘exhibition concourse’, I saw something I could not understand.
See that there is a cage hanging high up there?
There is actually a ‘lady’ within the cage. What is the meaning of that? Anyone care to explain its origin?
Various stalls littered the walkway, selling all the ‘consumables’ and ‘decoration pieces’ that you can imagined.
We naturally have to take a look at the effort spent decorating the exterior of Sunway Pyramid. Its drive way is lit up by hundreds of these … “stars and bells”.
10 days ago, I had a Streamyx downtime for 2 days.
After the technician fixed it, I am stuck with a peculiar situation:
1) Whenever it rains (in the morning), I will have an extremely poor connection. The data will come through at about 2kbps, if at all.
2) Interestingly, the situation will improved after about 10am. It will remain stable throughout the rest of the day.
3) From the previous 1Mbps, I can easily achieve 2Mbps now.
So I am facing a dilemma now.
Should I enjoy the higher speed while being stuck with a poor connection for an hour per day
Should I get them to fix the problem and possibly revert to the lower speed?
As Disney Channel will be launching a new Stitch TV series ( the Stitch from Lilo & Stitch), they have a road show in various shopping complexes.
They had set up various stalls for us to participate in their games.
(Upin & Ipin is the next show to be launched in Channel 615)
At 7pm, we were invited to participated in the Stitch game show.
The audience would have to go up to the stage to join in the fun. We would have to dress up as Alien, then dance or sing or roar as Alien.
It was truly an entertaining show to watch. Here, a big applause must be given to the talented hostess. She was … simply amazing!
(She even “died”)
I sincerely hope we get to watch more of these talented hostess, instead of our … “normal kind of”…
Dutch Lady with Playhouse Disney had a nice promo tour in 1 Utama.
They have their usual playground …
A nice set for Handy Mandy (very similar to their online flash game) …
And they have a singing competition! We managed to catch this young lady in her action.
Wow. She could really do a nice vocal!
Look at how our Parliament buy PC for its two hundred MP! (installed on Oct 19)
RM363 for 80GB harddisk
Excuse me. With Rm 248, I can get a SATA harddisk at the size of 808GB.
Touch screen computers for RM11,233 each (exclude mouse and keyboard)
You really have to make an effort not to squirm reading all these reports.
I have recently switched from Ixus 700 to Canon Powershot G11.
As instructed by John the sifu, I attempted a few Macro shots with the camera.

Quite a few ladies turned up for interview after the advertisement for job vacancies.
The weird thing was, when they got the job on the spot, asking them to come the next day, they just … vanished!
At times, we called them to find out the reason for the ‘disappearing act’.
The reasons that they supplied would be good enough for Ripley’s Believe It Or Not.
The most frequently supplied answer:
“Anak saudara sakit. Saya kena jaga dia.”
The hard to swallow answer would be:
“Ayah saya baru meninggal dunia hari ini.”
(Don’t you think it is pretty heartless to use such excuse? Please give some respect to your own father!)
The unacceptable answer:
“Adik saya kahwin hari ini”
?You mean you have no knowledge about the wedding, just yesterday?)
