I-city Shah Alam

Managed to bring my family to i-city at last.

i-city Shah Alam

Yeah. Some of the views could be quite breathtaking.

Too bad, that Fairy’s wheel wasn’t ready for operation yet.

i-city Shah Alam

This giant Christmas Tree was one of the main attraction there. A big crowd was always around it. A throng of peddlers were selling their wares too.

Nice lanterns.

A closer view of those ‘lighted trees’.

i-city Shah Alam

A nice amphitheatre.

We didn’t go into the Ice Arena. There wasn’t any chance that we were gonna wear those smelly dirty jackets. Simply horrifying.

His own medicine

Every morning, wife has to struggle to get son ready for school.

He will take his own sweet time getting ready, take a long breakfast. Then even after he get into the car, he will rush down again, saying: I forget my water container!
This morning, wife had to go to the market.

I told her: You just go. I will take son to school.

I made myself a cup of Old Town White Coffee. Sat down and slowly took my breakfast. Sipped my coffee. Poked the egg around.

Seeing that I was so slow, son changed into his uniform (without even being told). Finally, he asked me: Dad, are you ready?

I answered coolly: Should I wash the plate before sending you to school?

He yelled: No!

I get up, changed. Almost got into the car, then said: Opps! I forget to get my socks!

Slowly walked into the house, get my socks, put on my shoe, and finally get the car moving.

On the way there, son was fidgeting. Looked at his watch every 10 seconds.

When the school was in sight, I asked him: Now do you know how mummy feel every morning? Next time can you take a bit more initiative? Don’t drag your feet?

Son smiled reluctantly: Let me think about it.

Me: Oh? Think about it? Tomorrow should I be sending you to school, again?

Son: No!!!!!!!!!!

School starts at 8.00am. We reached the front gate 7:59:30am

Maxis Home Wired Internet

Maxis is currently doing a roadshow for its Maxis Home Wired Internet.

Maxis Home Wired Internet

That essentially is Maxis’s effort in pushing for its High Speed Broadband.
The nice thing about the roadshow is this: Anyone who sign up during the roadshow will be exempted from paying the installation / activation fees which come up to RM375. Not a bad saving especially during these tough time.
I was sold. Signed up for the 6Mpbs package. Only after I signed up, I realised another benefit:
Maxis will be giving free talk time onto my existing Maxis mobile line. Cool! Way better than Unifi.
Of course. As per Unifi, Maxis will be giving a free fixed phone line, with a cordless phone.

Maxis Home Wired Internet

Free Sand Art for children. My daughter’s favourite.

Maxis Home Wired Internet

See the big LED TV? Supposedly was to screen Youtube / Facebook to show off the fascinating speed of broadband.

Maxis Home Wired Internet

But of course, if you hooked a Playstation onto the TV, you don’t expect the kids to let you use the TV, eh?

You can choose to sit on the sofa. Maxis personnel will snap a photo (and print onto a calendar) for your family members, with a catch. The pillows with the word “Maxis Home” must be displayed prominently on your lap. Haha. Free advertisement for Maxis.
